BCA Programme

About the Programme
BCA is a three year program that is designed by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University - the affiliating University. The BCA program is divided into six semesters. Each semester comprises of five theory subjects and atleast one practical subjects - except the fourth semester comprises of four subjects, one practical, summer project and minor project and sixth semester comprises of four subjects, one practical and major project. In addition to this, every semester has a paper referred as Non University Examination Scheme (NUES) equal to the weightage of one paper, which allows the Institute to expose the students beyond the laid down syllabi and conduct research.



Eligibility Criteria
  • Pass in 12th Class of 10+2 of CBSE or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate with pass in English (core or elective or functional) and Mathematics or Computer Science / Informatics Practice / Computer Applications.

  • OR
  • Three year Diploma in a branch of Engineering from a polytechnic duly approved by All India Council for Technical Education and affiliated to a recognized examining body with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

Admission Procedure
The admissions are carried out strictly on merit basis through a Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by GGSIP University. The students are admitted to the institute of their choice through a central counseling conducted by the University. For more details: www.ipu.ac.in
